Here is What You Need to Know, if You Are a Study Designer
If you usually design Studies in ClinSpark, here is what you need to know about the Study setup that is relevant to the Pharmacy module.
New Base Type for Dose
To facilitate the Pharmacy workflow, a new Base Type - Dose - was introduced.
You will need to use this Base Type, when setting up the Dose Items. You can then include the Doses in Activity Plans, as usual. Using the Base Type will allow the linking of Dose Forms with the Doses being dispensed in the Pharmacy module.
Please note that the Dose Base Type will only be visible for selection, if the Pharmacy module is enabled in your ClinSpark instance.
Other requirements linked to Study Setup and Study Conduct
Your Pharmacy Team members will need to be aware of the naming conventions that your Clinic uses in Study Setup, in order to dispense medication. They will need to know the relevant Epoch and Activity Plan information.
For Pharmacy team to be able to see Activity Plans for selection in Dose Setup view, the Cohort Assignments need to be created, with Activity Plans and Subjects assigned and activated.
