The Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) will always be in a virtual Container until it is administered. The first Container will be created by the system, when you add the IMP. You can later add new Containers by moving part or all of the IMP from one Container to another.

The IMP Container will go through a lifecycle of various Statuses, such as Receipt, Storage, Dispensing, etc. Each Status change will also allow you to change the Pharmacy Location of the IMP Container.

When the IMP Container is in the Dispense Status, you will be able to create Doses.

Each IMP Container can be identified using a unique Barcode allocated by the system. You will be able to print Barcoded Labels for IMP Containers. You can then scan the label to access the Container and open its details for editing.

IMP Containers can be associated with specific Cohorts within the Study. You may choose to add optional Notes for each Container.

You can achieve all of the above by using the IMP Container “Action” menu.
