Example Label Template Designs

Labels

The following .nlbl files provide default/standard label layouts for various uses within ClinSpark. These layouts can be used for reference, or as a starting/end point for customers designing their own labels. These .nlbl files can be opened/edited with the ZebraDesigner Software.

Device Label

Typical design of a label used for labeling equipment (fridges, freezers, vitals signs equipment etc.).

Item Label

One or more of the label templates can be designed for many uses such as PK collections, Dose and Clinical Labs.

*If there is not an aliquot associated to the given item being printed, no aliquot labels will be produced

From any given form, a label can also be printed from Item Actions > Print

Collection Tube Label

Typical design of a label used for blood sample collection.

Sample Transfer Label

Typical design of a label used for e.g. blood plasma/serum aliquots. This label design is only needed when the design differs from the Collection Tube Label design.

LIMS Label

For use within Lab > LIMS Labels module to print labels with Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) when ClinSpark labels are not accepted by the analyzer. This label requires an order confirmation request to be received from the lab to ClinSpark to know the accession number and provide an appropriate label.

Sample Batch Data Label

Labels used in the PK Lab for grouping samples together during processing and storage tasks.

This label requires the Sample Task within Administration > General Settings > Samples to be set to yes and upon creating a batch in sample processing a label will be printed. This also requires a printer to be installed on the users workstation when completing the batch

Sample Container Label

Labels for organizing shipments and placed on the outside of the sample bags/boxes.

Users will be prompted to optionally print a label at the time of creating a new void container

These can also be reprinted if needed by ticking the checkbox and selecting Action > Print barcode

Subject Label

Foundry Health supports printing to two different label designs depending on label size and if wrist bands are utilized. Both the standard label and wristband formats are printed from the same module.

Subject Labels

Subject Wristbands

User Label

Typical design of a label used for e.g. staff ID badges.

Void Container Label

Typical design of a label used for void container(s) used within an interval.
