Volunteer Display
Introduction
In order to support varying privacy requirements it is possible to set what information is displayed about trial participants in certain parts of the application. Multiple options are available including full date of birth, sex and initials; just year of birth and sex, or just the participant's unique database ID reference number.
Visibility of this information is first governed by the Roles allocated to the User. Users that don’t have the necessary permissions to visit areas of the application where the information is displayed, won’t have access to it, irrespective of the selected format.

Initials, age and sex are always displayed…
It is anticipated that it is desirable to know age and sex when making Cohort Assignments in some cases and that this area of ClinSpark would normally be restricted to authorised site staff, and so this information would not be visible to e.g. trial monitors and or sponsors.

Age and sex are always displayed…
Both age and gender may be needed when assessing certain medical tests, and so they are included here. Initials are not shown.
