You can create one or more Item Groups within a Form. Item Groups allow you to organise the various Items.

Once you have created a Form, you can use the Item Group References section to create new or import existing Item Groups:

Click the Add menu and select New Item Group. This will open the “Save Item Group” popup screen. Here you will be able to define the following:

  • Name - define the name for your Item Group. If there is only one Item Group in your Form, it could actually be the same as the Form Name.

  • Repeating? - tick this tickbox, if you are creating a Repeating Item Group.

  • Help Text - you can add some Help Text at the Item Group Level to guide the users during data collection.

  • Domain - define the Domain to which the Items within this Item Group will be reportable to (used for reporting).

  • SAS Dataset Name - define the SAS Dataset Name for the Item Group (used for reporting).

  • Comment - add optional Comments (used for reporting).

  • Description - add an optional Description (used for reporting).

  • Base Type - if you area creating a Form with Items/Item Groups for a specific workflow facilitated with Base Types, select the appropriate Base Type from the dropdown.
