By establishing Study Data Search Items, the volunteer database may be queried by way of collected study data. For instance, queries may target dosing dates or vital signs or ECG results.

Adding a New Study Data Search Item

To add a new Study Data Search Item, simply go to Volunteers > Configure and click the “Add” button:

Then select from the available “Item Names” (you will be presented with a list of Items existing in your ClinSpark instance), define the Search Item Name, as you wish for it to appear to users:

The Item Data Type and Item Code List Name will be populated automatically. You may click the “Save” button.

Editing and Archiving an Existing Study Data Search Item

You cannot delete existing Study Data Search Items, but you can archive them, by clicking the “Action” button and selecting “Edit”:

From this view, you can edit the Search Item Name or flag the item as “Archived”:

Checking the Usage of the Item

You can check in which Studies the specific Item is being used, by clicking Action > Show Usage:

The Items can then be used for building advanced searches in Volunteers > Manage component:
