Role: Volunteer Recruiter

Overview

Recruitment questionnaires optionally facilitate the triaging of volunteers in the Volunteers > Recruit component after they have been identified as potentially eligible or interested in a trial but before they present to the clinic for a screening visit. Recruitment questionnaires are typically completed by way of a phone interview with the prospective volunteer.

Import Recruitment Questions

A repository of recruitment questions is maintained in the Volunteers > Configure component. This repository can be leveraged to quickly build out the study-specific recruitment questionnaire. Upon importing recruitment questions, general notes and compensation notes may also be established to help guide conversation with the volunteer.

After importing these templatized questions as a starting point for a study’s recruitment questionnaire, the following actions can be performed to manage the study-specific questionnaire. Note that when the Notes and Compensation Notes fields are updated, the changes will push through to already-collected recruitment questionnaires as well as questionnaires which have not yet been collected:

Add Study-Specific Recruitment Questions

If study-specific recruitment questions are required, which are not present in the Volunteers > Configure repository, custom questions may be added on a per-study basis.

When adding a new study-specific question, or editing an existing study-specific question, the following actions can be performed. Note that the Epoch and Cohort field options are based on the Epoch/Cohort structure configured in the Study > Configure > Basics module within the ‘Epochs’ section. Also note that when editing an existing question, editing the following fields will push through to already-collected recruitment questionnaires as well as questionnaires which have not yet been collected:

  • Question

  • Help Text

  • Question Options

  • Epoch/Cohort

  • Archived

Whereas editing the following fields will not impact already-collected recruitment questionnaires:

  • Required

  • Default Answer

If a given study-specific question has an Epoch/Cohort combination defined, it will only be available to be answered against volunteer recruitment profiles which have the same Epoch/Cohort combination defined within the ‘Identified Cohorts’ section.
