Collect Screening Data

Role: Data Collector
Activities associated with the screening study day (‘Study Event’) should be collected during a subject’s screening visit. Among unique styles of forms collected during the screening visit are ‘Volunteer Integration’ forms which pull information such as demographics or medical history directly from a volunteer’s profile. If a subject leaves the screening visit before completing all screening activities, the remaining uncollected activities should be marked as canceled to avoid queries and/or accidental data collection. Note that screening activities are typically untimed, meaning that each activity is not required to be collected at a specific time of day.

As safety lab specimens are collected, ClinSpark builds an order queue for submission to the reference laboratory. Typically, one order is placed at the end of the screening visit, including all collected specimens that are required to be resulted. Note that if a sample was collected but the corresponding subject was found to be ineligible prior to ordering, that particular sample can either be placed on hold (and therefore not submitted to the reference lab) or submitted to the reference laboratory followed by a request to cancel resulting of the sample.
