Study Data
It is not possible for any ClinSpark user to delete clinical data through the user interface.
ClinSpark keeps all study data within the primary application database. This database is perpetually backed up, with copies stored offsite on a continuous basis in multiple geographic locations. More details about this backup process is available in our technical architecture documentation.
GDPR & Volunteer Data
ClinSpark application users are unable to delete volunteer records through the user interface, as it would break referential integrity of the database.
Starting in version 22.3, ClinSpark supports the ability for qualified users to follow through on GDPR ‘right to erasure’ requests of volunteer data through a ‘privacy remove’ feature. More details about this are available in this article.
Customers on a version of ClinSpark prior to 22.3 can reach out via service desk ticket to discuss GDPR removal requests related to volunteer data. Engineering staff may be capable to accommodate, depending on what personal data requires modification on volunteer records, and what outcomes are expected.
