Custom Volunteer Questions established here allow for additional information, beyond system-intrinsic volunteer profile questions, to be documented against a volunteer’s profile.
Adding New Volunteer Questions
To add a new Volunteer Question, go to Volunteers > Configure > Volunteer Questions section and click “Add”:
Then you will need to configure your custom question with at least the required fields (marked with an asterisk):
Define the “Question” as it will appear to the users on the Volunteer Profile,
Define the “Question Type” (available options - string, text, integer, float, date)
Define whether the Question is “Required” - when the Question is marked as required, the Recruiter will not be able to save the Volunteer Profile, unless they fill out this information:
Additionally, you can define the optional fields:
Define a “Default Answer”
Define an “Answer Pattern” using regex rules and a “Question Code” (only editable by Superadmin users)
Define “Help Text” that will appear to Recruiters when they are entering the data
Define possible “Question Options” (the Question Type should be “string”)
Define if the Question is Site-specific.
Editing and Deleting Existing Volunteer Questions
You can edit or delete existing Volunteer Questions by using the “Action” menu next to the desired item:
