Introduction

In order to support varying privacy requirements it is possible to set what information is displayed about trial participants in certain parts of the application. Multiple options are available including full date of birth, sex and initials; just year of birth and sex, or just the participant's unique database ID reference number.

Visibility of this information is first governed by the Roles allocated to the User. Users that don’t have the necessary permissions to visit areas of the application where the information is displayed, won’t have access to it, irrespective of the selected format.

Configuration

  1. Navigate to Administration | Sites and select the site

  2. Click the Volunteer Display hyperlink

  1. Select your required option

This configuration option can be set independently for each site in your ClinSpark instance, allowing for e.g. permitted regional variations.

Affect on User Experience

Limitations

This configuration option does not currently extend to Study | Configure where initials, age and sex are always displayed…

It is anticipated that this area of ClinSpark would normally be restricted to authorised site staff and so this information would not be visible to e.g. trial monitors and or sponsors.
