Site Specimen Categories

Specimen categories add a layer of enforcement during panel creation.  Categories established in the Lab Interface Management screen may be assigned to tests and to panels.  When a category is assigned to a panel, only tests which share the same category as the panel may be included.  This ensures that urine tests, for example, are not accidentally added to a serum panel.
