ClinSpark version 23.1 is now available
The ClinSpark product team is excited to announce the first release of 2023 - version 23.1.
The 23.1 release contains improvements supporting user account management, samples processing, study design, data collection, and recruitment workflows. It also contains security improvements and bug fixes. In this blog post, we wanted to share a few highlights.
User accounts now have additional controls that give administrators more flexibility to decide how account configurations determine the studies and sites a user will be able to interact with. These configurations are optional for every user account, so customers can decide to opt-in and use them as necessary. The changes should not disrupt existing early phase customers who are familiar with the existing site and study restriction features. Our help documentation will be updated to reflect these changes and provide further examples.
Study design and sample processing workflows were also improved, now supporting the ability to associate and use study lab panels with sample aliquot (transfer) Items. We expect the changes to help our customers with scenarios that require safety samples to be processed first by study sites before they are sent to external labs for analysis. With updated Item configurations and form designs, the successful completion of transfer processing steps with parent/child tubes will update corresponding Items. Additionally, the processing of these transfer tubes within the Samples > Processing component will also trigger lab orders.
For recruitment workflows, improvements have been made to the default sort order of identified volunteers. Additionally, the ‘identification date’ of a volunteer is also now present for recruitment teams to reference.
There are several other changes in the 23.1 release as well, detailed in the technical file release notes. The complete technical file will be available to registered users of our service desk portal. We look forward to sharing additional changes on our documentation site soon.
Much of this release was made possible through the ongoing and collaborative feedback we receive from our customers. Listening to feedback and understanding the needs of users is of crucial importance to our development team. We will continue to strive for providing effective solutions through a continuously improving product.
