Barcode Lengths and Prefixes
The length of a ClinSpark barcode may be defined with the “Padding Characters” value.
You may also define the Prefixes that will Prefixes can also be defined, to be used with each type of Barcode:
Application User Prefix - these barcode prefixes will be visible on the labels that can be printed from any User Profile and used in Data Collection or Sample Processing processes.
Device Prefix - this barcode prefix will be visible on the Device-specific labels printed from the Devices > Manage page.
ICF Prefix - this is the Prefix that will be used for the Informed Consent Barcode in the Study > Configure > Informed Consent section.
IMP Container Prefix - this is the Prefix that will be used for the IMP Containers in the Study > Pharmacy module.
Item Prefix - this is the Prefix that will be used for the individual Items in your data collection Forms; for example, Blood Sample Item barcode or Dose Item barcode.
Sample Batch Prefix - this barcode Prefix can be used for Batch Steps in Samples > Processing module.
Sample Container Prefix - this barcode Prefix will be part of the barcode used on the Samples > Packaging page to identify individual Containers.
Sample Transfer (Aliquot) Prefix - this Prefix will be visible on the Transfer labels.
Specimen Container Prefix - this will be used for multi-container sample collections, in combination with the “Include Delimiter?” setting; the Prefix defined here will be used in case Specimen Container barcodes are used. These Barcodes will be concatenated with the Sample Barcodes and between the two barcodes the defined “Delimiter” will be inserted.
Subject Prefix - this will be part of the Barcode used on the Subject labels that can be printed from the Barcode Printing > Subjects module. These barcodes can be used on Subject bracelets.
Void Container Prefix - this will be part of the barcodes for individual Void Containers. These labels can be printed from the Samples > Intervals page.

Merge Tags
Merge Tags can be used, when designing label templates to populate information dynamically.
New merge tags could be added to the list with the help of Foundry Health teamIQVIA support team (superadmin).
Existing merge tags can be archived, if they are no longer in use.
