Adding a Study Question

To add a custom Study Question, click the “Add” button and define the following:

  • Question - define the Name of the field that you wish to add to the Study > configure > Basics.

  • Question Type - this will define what the user may enter into the field (string, text, integer, float or date).

  • Default Answer - if you wish, you may provide the Default Answer that will be populated in this field.

  • Answer Pattern - you may define the answer pattern that should be used for entering information into the field.

  • Question Code - you can define an optional Question Code; this is only helpful with integrations, it helps to transmit the Study Questions between systems.

  • Help Text - you can add some Help Text to guide the user who will be filing out this field.

  • Required - if this question needs to be answered for every new Study, you need to check this box. If it is optional - leave the Required checkbox unchecked.

  • Question Options - if you want the users to have a list of options to select from (as opposed to typing an answer), you can define the Question Options (possible answers). You need to separate each Question Option by line.
