Summary

Foundry Health has a growing community of ClinSpark users. More often than not, we find that our customers share a similar mindset around how they use ClinSpark to meet their needs of clinical research.

We want to provide a platform where ClinSpark users and Foundry Health staff can interact in an open, transparent manner. We also want to see customers share ideas, challenges, and discuss best practices with each other.

Community engagement is also an important aspect of ClinSpark development. We look forward to opportunities where we can share details about ‘prototype’ or new features before official release, and give users the opportunity to provide feedback on functionality while being actively developed.

ClinSpark Community Slack

Slack is a collaboration tool that Foundry Health has selected as a platform to engage with the wider ClinSpark user community.

Access to the ClinSpark user community is managed through invitation. Customers can reach out via the Jira service desk to request an invitation. If someone within your organization is already a member of the community, they can also request a member invite though a Foundry Health employee directly in Slack.

Much of the Foundry Health team are present in the Slack community to oversee platform administration and facilitate discussions. However, Slack is not an official avenue for support. For any issues or topics that require assistance in a production setting, customers are encouraged to use the Jira service desk.

Community Development Server

A common practice for software development is the use of a ‘dev’ environment to explore and experiment in. These environments do not contain customer specific configurations or sensitive data. Things are expected to change freely without much disruption.

We provide access to a community development environment for our customers to review new & unreleased features, proof of concepts, provide us with product feedback, and have a general area to collaborate with others in.

Access and Use

The community development server is located at https://community-dev.clinspark.com/

Customers are permitted to add other users from their organization to the instance, as well as add and maintain studies, and generally use the environment however they would like to.

As a shared instance, please be respectful of community use. If there is question about any existing configurations or study setups, consider reaching out via the Community Slack.

In general, the environment is provided with the following expectations & understanding:

  • The environment is not subject to normal ClinSpark service level agreements

  • The environment is owned and maintained by Foundry Health

  • It is available to any existing Foundry Health customers, and those participating in the ClinSpark community

  • Not intended for any ‘production’ data; sensitive, PHI or other

  • The Volunteer database contains obscure/obfuscated data, and should otherwise not contain any ‘real’ volunteer data

  • The environment is subject to frequent deployments at an interval of Foundry Health choosing

  • Build and configurations deployed may contain unreleased / new features that have not yet been formally tested

  • The database and configurations may be ‘wiped’ at any time
